CERAMIC WALL TILES
Ceramic tiles are typically crafted from either red or white clay and are fired in a kiln for durability. They are almost always coated with a high-quality glaze that imparts both color and pattern, making them ideal for use on both interior and exterior walls. Ceramic tiles are generally softer and easier to cut than porcelain tiles.
They typically carry a PEI rating between 0 and 3, indicating they are best suited for areas with very light to moderate foot traffic. Non-porcelain ceramic tiles also tend to have a higher water absorption rate, making them less frost-resistant and more susceptible to wear and chipping compared to porcelain tiles.
